This Is How You Plant Your Feet And Stand Rooted In Your Relationship

Building your relationship is a lot more important than having one.


A colleague of mine, after one year marriage, told me she is getting a divorce. “Huh? What happened?” I asked. I was expecting monumental reasons like maybe he has cheated or she has or something serious enough to break their marriage.

“We have grown out of love.” She told me.

I have attended her wedding a year ago. The ceremony was grand. It was grassland. Full of green pastures. Streamlined rivers. And don’t forget rainbows.

Where is the love I have seen on that day? Who waltzed it away from their marriage? Why has their passion become distasteful now? When only a year ago there were happy hugs. Electrified nights, passionate love and consistent blushing.
