Imagine for a minute that you have no emotions that guide you. No feelings to express. Nothing to show to others. Nothing to show to yourself.

Many important people in your life are showing you their love and care every day.

But you don’t feel anything.

Imagine if you don’t understand the flow of emotions human beings exhibit on every day.

How would you live your life?

This scenario is as equivalent as trying to go through a dessert without carrying the necessary water.

Lack of emotions reminds me of a much darker scenario. Think of passing a dessert while carrying a poison as your drink.

If I can’t be kind,

If I can’t love,

If I can’t laugh,

If I can’t forgive,

If I can’t get angry,

If I can’t get emotional,

If I can’t get panicked,

If I can’t get affected,

If I can’t feel,

If I can’t express happiness,

If I can’t be sad,

If I can’t sympathize,

What am I then?

Emotions are our incredible GIFTS!

They are this vast ocean of feelings that make us live a wonderful and unpredictable life!

Don’t ever wish that emotions will one day loosen their grip on you.

Emotions are meant to be with you.

They make you cry. They make you laugh. They make you breathe. They make you love. They make you suffer. They make you YOU.

And on a related note, don’t try to fully control emotions. Of course, destructive emotions like jealousy and envy need to be dealt with.

But, other than negative emotions – stop trying to control the flow of other emotions. It doesn’t work. It never will. It never has.

The more you become better at controlling emotions, the more you will save more energy to put into other things.
