Being grateful gives you boundless and vast happiness and solace that can never be quenched or taken away.
I think being grateful gives us solace because it makes us thankful for what we have.
Do you know what being grateful feels like? Like an ocean – infinite peace and appreciation.
This is what being grateful does for us: it gives us limitless thankfulness, it gives us hope. It takes us away from what we don’t have and see, really see what we have.
What this means is that the more you practice being grateful for all that you have, the more you will have.
I have learned that if you hold anything that you love with a clenched fist, you will lose it. Love, in the true sense of the word, is not possessive. It is free. That means, everything and everybody that you love is free.
Being grateful for all the love that surrounds you makes you acknowledge this freedom. Fearing that what you have and who you love will be taken away from you is the opposite of being grateful for them.
I have realized that the more I say ‘Thank you’ to the love that surrounds me, the bigger and more powerful that gratefulness becomes this giant beautiful thing in me.
The only way to have more of what you want and love is to be thankful for what you already have.
“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you HAVE NOT; but remember THAT WHAT YOU NOW HAVE was ONCE AMONG THE THINGS you once hoped for.” Epictetus
“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” Zig Ziglar
Today start practicing your gratitude:
● For your friend who is always there for you.
● For your romantic partner who loves you.
●For your colleagues who are making you feel what it means to be in a team.
● For your family who loves you unconditionally.
● For YOU – just because there is no one like you in this world. No one.
To your inspirations,
