Being Your Own Boss Is Beautiful

Being your own boss is glorious.

I am not talking about having your own company or business in your name.

I am talking about having the emotional resilience to cope in stressful situations.

Having faith that when the pressure or emotions were raised, you would be able to manage.

There are many battles we cannot win with optimism or “the right attitude”. But we can stay strong no matter what the external forces are upon us.

The more emotionally resilient you are, the better flexible you are to what is happening around you.

Having the emotional skills to adapt will help you push your head above water.

You’ve probably experienced it before. One of those days where everything goes wrong seems to do so at once.

But, somehow you survived.

You lived through the tough times and come out to the other side.

But not as the same person.

You are now a much stronger person than you were before.

You will be less of your own boss if you allow the outside world to dictate your thoughts and actions.

Waiting for the outside world to change you is a form of inaction. It is a cop-out. Don’t confuse it with virtue or some sort of solution.

Action begets motivation. Action begets your own resilience – not the other way around.

The time when you become your own boss is when you decide that you are in control of your thoughts and emotions.

The point when you become a boss to yourself is that time.

Nothing beats being your own boss. Nothing.
