Hi friends,
Here are a few inspirational ways that I hope will jolt you awake and motivate you to make changes – to do what it takes – to live your best life.
(Share them so that you can uplift all around you too).
1.No one else can give you self-awareness, you need to think about your feelings.
There are many important answers only you can give yourself, through consciously thinking about your own feelings.
So, stop listening to what the world says you should feel.
Start listening to your feelings.
Tune-out everything else and tune-in to yourself.
2. The happiest folks are those who stop and think before they act.
Truth be told, you have everything to lose by just acting and reacting.
Let yourself pause.
Let yourself breathe before you shift into full gear.
3. The only path between being emotionally intelligent and not is controlling your thoughts.
There’s no getting around the need to control every flow of thoughts from your mind.
Are you brave enough to control your thoughts?
Are you strong enough to overcome the tendency to let your thoughts freely flow?
Your answer is the difference between you controlling your thoughts and vice-versa.
4. Your emotional intelligence is alive when you demonstrate empathy.
Even though you don’t agree, you can understand. You can empathize.
People can disagree with each other about things, even important things, and still like each other very much.
Summon every ounce of strength to empathize with others.
5. You can’t be strong if you do not learn from criticism.
If we take criticisms as only enemies that are out there to attack us, it is possible that they would break us, shatter our mind in a way that could never be repaired.
Change this habit of taking everything personally. Remember, every coin has two sides.
The most underrated trait of all successful highly emotionally intelligent people I’ve ever met: learning from others.
Your willingness to learn from others directly determines how well you grow in your life.
Listen, if possible, as a third person to what others are saying to you.
Do not close your mind. You might learn something.
6. You will always be lacking something if you do not praise others.
If you wait until you have “everything” before you give a single praise, the world will not give you what you are craving for.
That is not personal.
You reap what you sow. Everything you do has consequences.
7. Emotionally intelligent people WIN not because they weren’t hurt like everybody else, but because they decide to forgive and forget.
Promise yourself today to let go of grudges. And do everything you can to fulfill that promise.
You were born to be a positive person. Not this person who is harboring ill thoughts towards another, not this person who is carrying on all these heavy emotions with the ferocious hunger of a starving lion.
Let yourself be a person who doesn’t have the stomach for carrying resentments.
8. Unwillingness to apologize is the biggest emotional intelligence killer.
In the end, you can apologize and be a better person or keep your pride and be at your worst, but not both at once.
