Un-Learn
June 9, 2018 by Banchiwosen Woldeyesus
If we love each thought, every knowledge and every little thing that we acquire,
Gradually all the space in our mind will be taken up by everything that we put there.
If we keep on storing negative thoughts, grudges, anxieties, frustrations, fears, disappointments and the likes,
Our mind will be filled with dead and withered thoughts,
Which are better off thrown out and forgotten.
When our mind is crowded,
We have no room to put it new ideas.
When new knowledge passes around us and we say we know everything,
We learn nothing.
Where there is no space,
Any learning we do falls short in gaining foot in our mind.
Where our mind is swarming and packed with previous knowledge,
New learning passes us by because the mind is heaving to its full capacity.
Just like we discard the old things in our home,
To put in new things,
Have the courage to clean your mind,
By un-learning the withered ones,
the unwanted ones,
the old ones,
the negative ones,
the unnecessary ones.
