The Pleasant way I prepare my public speech
July 2, 2018 by Banchi
Whenever I plan on making a speech, I plan everything ahead of time. I use the advice of the famous author ‘Dale Carnegie’ every time.
I select a topic before everything else. I write the topic on an empty paper and I post the paper somewhere I can see it all the time. I, then collect information about the topic from different sources. The sources might include books, e-books, internet, primary data, journals etc.
I collect and put everything I have assimilated in one setting. On a different paper, I write what I think about the topic, how I feel about the topic, what I hear about the topic from others, what I see about the topic from others. I write every one of these thoughts and feelings on the paper every day.
Whenever I think of something new, it is added on the paper. When someone gives me a different view on the topic, the idea is jotted down on the paper.
Without realizing it, my material has increased in quality and quantity. This day by day putting thoughts and feelings on paper makes my material rich in depth and thick in quality.
The final step is easy. From my collected researched material and accumulated personal reflection, I select and organize the final material. I do this every time I have a speech.
