“I have often wondered how it is that every man loves himself more than all the rest of men, but yet sets less value on his opinions of himself than on the opinions of others.” Marcus Aurelius
“I want to be in control. I want to be happy. I want to be my own person. I deserve positivity.”
Those were the words which kept me fighting.
There were multiple moments in my life where I was pulled towards other people’s negativity and cried to be released from their tight hold on me.
I believed that I would have to live a life of constant battle with what others think and want from me.
Many of you know that now I am a positive person.
What you do not know is that I have worked hard to get myself into this me.
I let the outside world play me like a puppet. I let myself swing according to the direction others took me. I played this game with a horrible result.
Losing myself.
“What irritates us about others tell us an understanding about ourselves.” Carl Jung
But one day everything clicked.
“Where there is me, there are my thoughts, desires, needs and goals.”
One part of me was afraid, afraid of following my own path, a different path.
I always dreamt of a day where I would be positive no matter the external surroundings be.
“Disgust and resolve are two of the great emotions that lead to change.” Jim Rohn
I did everything I could to become one.
I deserved to be happy. I deserved to be positive. I deserved to maintain my positivity. With every ounce of desire to become the most positive person there is, I took matters into my own hands.
“Where there is me, there is the decider.”
It worked. I made it. I am now decidedly positive.
That does not mean that things do not affect me or problems do not touch me.
They do. That is part of life and will always be.
But, because my perspective has changed, I see the silver lining in every situation.
Ups and downs are parts of life, but not taking risks means we could be missing out on something incredible.
“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.” Og Mandino

Becoming not yourself is a scary thing. Not knowing yourself is terrifying.
However, we must always remember that we are the ones who can bring the real us into light. Not the outside world.
No other person in this world can change you.
You are the ONLY ONE who can change yourself.
You are the one thing who stands between you and who you want to be.
KEEP IMPROVING. You can do it.

Good sister Thank you so much for the inspirations you gave us. Good job and keep on doing sister. But I got a question for you. This century looks an era of positive thinking (positivism) and inspirations. Everyone will tell us to think positive. But thinking positive can’t alter the reality. Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Vincent Peale and so forth say a lot on positivism at a complete rejection of negativism (Pessimism). I wish a wisdom through which I can win enemies (not friends). I want to influence my foes, not my friends. Would you please inspire us how to… Read more »
