Action Begets Motivation – Not The Other Way Around

Taking action

Dreaming, hoping, wishing, waiting to be something someday at some point in life is just a mirage.

The sun you do not see will suddenly shine on you – as you begin taking daily actions. - Action Begets Motivation - Not The Other Way Around

Taking action is realizing:

·That it is the only way to get the result that you want.

· That waiting for ‘feeling like it’ will make us a person who waits for someday that does not exist on a calendar.

· That motivation or inspiration is not the secret to success.

·That waiting is a form of inaction. Don’t confuse it with virtue.

·That your inspiration or motivation to be good at “your thing” will follow right behind you as you decide to take consistent action.

·That as you develop daily habits regardless of whether you feel like it or not is the way you will attract motivation.

· That reading a book to be inspired or attending a weekend seminar on ‘motivating oneself’ will never make you a person who takes action unless you take action.

· That excitement is like seawater –by itself, completely useless.

·That life is more about daily actions than anything else. Less about ‘feeling like it.’ or ‘feeling inspired enough.

·That waiting for inspiration to land on your lap every day is an excuse.

· That chasing motivation like a bat out of hell is not the way to achieve what you want or even do a single thing.

· That wallowing in your lack of inspiration is the thing that is making you uninspired.

·That you feeling that another person has more inspiration than you, is more motivated than you, has better luck than you, is nothing but what you tell yourself. No one in the world has a breakfast called “inspiration” Those people that you envy, get up in the morning and do “their thing” – whether they feel like it or not – every single day. That is how they get inspired. By doing the work.

· That the motivation you are looking for will follow right behind you as you start taking daily action – just like the sea moves toward the shore.

· That expecting to be ‘motivated enough’ to do the work is a sign of frailty.

·That the sun you do not see will suddenly shine on you – as you begin taking daily actions.
