Have you ever been in this situation?
You are on your way to go a long way to a particular destination. You have arranged a transportation to take you there.
You arrive on time on the day of your journey. On your way to the public bus, you are welcomed by a drunk driver with a beer in his hand. As soon as he sees you, he shouts with excitement “Welcome to my transportation bus! Here take a drink with me and we will be on our way. This will be a great journey. We will have drinks all the way to the destination. Cheers!”
As you stare at the guy, your immediate reaction is shock and full of disbelief. You can see and smell that the guy is completely drunk.
“Who the hell are you?” You ask.
“I am your driver who is going to take you to your destination. I will take one more beer and we will be on our way in no time.”
What would you do?
What would your reaction be?
I would get out of the transportation as fast as possible.
Wouldn’t you?

Now, imagine another scenario where you are welcomed by a different man.
A man who arrived before you and was welcoming every passenger with a beautiful smile and ready-to-go attitude.
One look at him and you are sure that he will take you to your destination SAFELY.
Now, ask yourself … Which driver will get you to your destination SAFELY?
The disciplined driver or the wild driver described above?
—–
You are the driver in your life.
You are the pilot in your life.
Discipline is NEEDED in every part of your life to be successful and to fly SAFELY to your destination.

There is a story of a person living nearby a beach. On his way to his work, this person passes the beach always.
On his way to work every day, he always does one thing. He approaches the beach and picks up a fish that have been thrown by the tides from the ocean onto the sand. He picks one fish from the sand and throws it back to the ocean.
Another person seeing this person doing the same thing over and over again was confused. He approaches him one day and asks him:
“Why are you bothering with picking one fish after another? Don’t you know that there are thousands of fish and you cannot save them all?
The person who was throwing a fish back to the water answered him by showing him his hand where he is carrying a fish.
“It matters to this fish. I am saving this fish.”
Not having a discipline in all areas of your life can destroy you. It might seem like it is nothing but without it, you don’t have a tool for life design.
Discipline is the doorway to anything.
Whatever you do every single day adds up. It accumulates.
It is through this accumulation that you will see PROGRESS in any area of your life.
And guess what?
PROGRESS is highly addictive.
