We sit with someone and we talk ceaselessly.
We don’t give a chance for that person to have his/her say.
We have failed in our communications.
————–
We don’t respect people’s emotions. We try to control the flow of emotions coming from others.
We don’t let them be.
We have failed in our communications.
—————
We do not look at a person when we converse. We do not give our full attention.
Our physical body is there. But, we are not really there.
We have failed in our communications.
—————–
We confuse people. We say one thing, our body says another.
Our words are not the same as what our posture is saying.
Our facial expression does not convey the same message as the meaning behind our words.
We have failed in our communications.
—————-
We do not speak our mind. We elusively send a vague message.
We do not speak up. We are not assertive.
We do not stand by our principles. We leave them stranded somewhere.
We have failed in our communications.
—————-
We do not manage disagreements. We do not know HOW.
In fact, we run from disagreements.
We do not believe in the right of everyone’s opinion.
We do not believe in all individuals having their own voice.
Hence, we do not welcome disagreements.
We have failed in our communications.
————–
We are not learners. We do not want to learn.
We get into conversations with the intention to talk and talk more and NOT to learn.
We are not willing to learn from others.
WE have failed in our communications.

How YOU can become a BETTER listener.
How YOU can become a BETTER Communicator.
