I HAVE WEPT IT OUT OF MY SYSTEM (INSPIRATIONAL STORY)

Inspirational Poem

Hi there! Hope you are superb.

Today I have an inspirational story for you. Not mine, but one of my trainees. You’ll love this message. Read straight through to the end.

This Monday, I received a new trainee who is going to join my other trainees. Sometimes I receive new people to train on an already started training (only exceptional cases).

Before I met my new trainee in my training room, I had the privilege of meeting him in an elevator. I say privilege, because I saw his character in those few minutes. In the elevator ride, I did not know that he was my trainee.

A MESSAGE OF ‘THE SOUL OF MAN’ —

About 7 or 8 people were packed in the elevator ride. One family were arguing the whole time. It looks like they were fighting even before they entered into the elevator. And they were with their children (teenagers).

We did not want to hear what this family was arguing about. But we did, as they were talking loudly. The wife from her rantings, looks like she is accusing her husband of not paying the bills and forgetting the children.

After may be few seconds in the elevator  —

The gentleman in the elevator with me and the family spoke up.

“I wish I could argue with my wife; you might not have this chance tomorrow.”

The statement was directed at the family. They were quiet and their mouths wide open. They were in complete shock. It was an unexpected statement from someone they do not know. But the wife quickly recovered herself and asked:

“What do you mean, we will not have this chance tomorrow?”

Before the guy can answer, we have reached our destination. The elevator door opened. Me and the gentleman went of the elevator.

But the man returns back to the family and holding the elevator door says to them:

“My wife passed away last week.”

Wow, I wish I could show you their expression at that moment. They were looking at each other as if for the first time. Looking at them, you might not believe that they were shouting over each other just a few minutes ago.

It was so heartwarming to watch.

After the elevator door closed, I said:

“I am very sorry for you.”

He said, “Thank you” and asked me if I knew where the training hall in the building is, as he is starting a motivational training that day.

Silence.

I was a bit shocked because this gentleman is my new trainee. I have just heard him say that his wife has passed away last week.

I collected myself and introduced myself to him. I could not help, but ask:

“Why are you here today? Why aren’t you grieving at home?”

What he said next surprised me even more. This wasn’t the “usual” interaction you have with random strangers —.

“I’m grieving, but not at home.”

I asked: “May I ask why?”

“If you have time after the training, I will tell you the whole story.” He said.

Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful. You can see the real character of this gentleman even through his grief.

He is grieving and yet he was able to save the day for a particular family by his statement!

A MESSAGE OF “MEMORIES” —

When we talked later in the day, he told me the whole story. He was married to his wife for about 8 years and they have 2 children. The wife’s family is very rich and has never approved of their marriage. Even their children did not make them change their minds.

Throughout all these years, his wife has chosen him over her family. And this has left a huge gap between the families. For the past few months, she has been really sick and she died last week.

The moment she died, her family has asked him to get out of the house. Now that she is no longer there to fight, they are fighting him to take away his children from him.

Anyway, I am not writing this message to you to talk about this ugly side of human beings.

Rather, I want to tell you how inspirational this grieving man is.

Sometimes, you have to talk to a grieving man to get back to what is essential in life.

The way he talks: he is not bitter, he is not resentful and most of all he is not letting anyone ever take his hope away. His hope to be with his children (at this time, his wife’s family have taken his children).

The one thing that struck me the most from his story is, when he said to me:

“I have wept it out of my system.”

I asked (to make sure that I understood what he is saying to me):

“You have wept what out of your system?”

Everything that is negative. Bitterness, resentment and anger will not have a hold in my heart. They are out of my system a long time ago. I will fight to get back my children with my way and that is by fighting positively to get them back. I will do what I need to do (and take action), but with ease, peace and not resentment. That is not how we lived our lives, my wife and I. I have so many memories that no one can take away from me. Memories that will give me strength and give me a reason in remaining positive.

Sooooo —

If you are reading this right now, that means you woke up today – and opened your eyes. So, be infinitely grateful.

Sending you a big virtual hug and lots and lots and lots of love and extra light today.
