When you get what you want from me without my struggle,
And, the world makes you King and right on all counts,
Then, my inner self does not let me sleep at night and bothers me at day,
And I am forced to look into you and see what you have to say.
Goodbye Fear!
For it isn’t your benefit for me that is letting you live with me,
But my ignorance into holding on something that is no longer serving me.
Goodbye Fear!
You may be like a King;
And think that your way is the only way,
But the person inside me says you’re only a hindrance,
Preventing me from:
- Growing,
- Changing a Career,
- Advancing on my studies,
- Confronting a situation,
- Opening my own business,
- Pursue a new habit,
- Sing,
- Dance,
- Think,
- Start something,
- Anything.
You have fooled me down the pathway for years,
And I have let you sit on my couch too long,
For you are with me clear up to the end,
And yet you’ve not passed your most dangerous difficult test,
You have not become a true friend.
As you have cheated me of my fondest desires.
Goodbye Fear!
