The job you hate might just change your life
Do you feel that sensation in your heart? That’s the feeling part, the yearning part, cracking in its entirety.
You’re in your office before anybody else arrives, and you’re the last one to leave. Not because you love your job but because your boss has a habit of dropping last-minute tasks on your desk.
You drag your unwilling self out of bed at an ungodly hour, get stuck inside an office all day, and slave away your life for a measly paycheck. You do this for a boss who does nothing but loaf around, snap at employees, and spend his weekends luxuriating.
“I will do this task with absolute perfection and he will give me a promotion.” You convince yourself promotion is coming any day now — but nothing happens. Your boss continues to enjoy his leather sofa and give you more tasks.
You’re bone-tired from being ordered like a slave.
You want to get the hell out. Out of this misery. Out of this job, which has become a form of slow torture. Out of this life, which has become so dull.
You have migraines from lack of fire in your heart for the last five years.
And you ask yourself this question every single day when you see the night’s darkness leaving its place for the sun through your window.
“When will I wake up with a smile on my face looking forward to the day ahead?”
